This is an update regarding flood damage that occurred in your area on August 28, 2023. The Federal Shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security unfortunately includes the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Therefore, FEMA offices are not fully functioning currently. Kanawha PSD has been working with local officials and recently submitted a request to the WV Infrastructure and Jobs Council for locally matching funds. In addition, the District has submitted required permitting applications and is awaiting the necessary approvals. Finally, representatives continue working to obtain the remaining, required easements in the area. Your cooperation in this endeavor will greatly assist these much-needed repairs to move forward.
