This is an update regarding flood damage that occurred in your area on August 28, 2023. Yesterday, the District was notified that the Federal Emergency Management Agency has obligated a grant toward the permanent repair of certain sewer mains damaged during the flooding. This grant is estimated to cover approximately 75% of the construction costs for these repairs. We would like to thank Senator Shelly Moore Captio, Congressman Carrol Miller, and Delegate Theresa Howell for their support and assistance in the matter. The District will continue to work with state and local officials in securing the additional 25% needed to complete the project. Your continued patience throughout this lengthy process is greatly appreciated.
